The Flower Drowns

The flower never blooms if it is drowned
Just as the ice will never melt in the frost
You rain
You can’t stop
There is no room for air, no room for growth
And when the leaves begin to wilt, and the roots withdraw
You hail
Angry wind, cold bullets tear at the petals
When you see what is left and it does not please you
You cry, and like the sun you apologize
You melt the ice
unfortunately the flower is an annual
and it has already drowned
