Mexico

The water washed the white sand
With a clear sigh from the sea
I lay upon a lounge chair
Letting the sun rays rest on me
I listened to the birds
Singing in a tropic tree
The breeze rustled through the palms
And lifted away the heat
At night the stars were clear
From a different point of view
While music filled my ears
With a foreign tune
I sat in perfect bliss
Drinking coloda ‘neath the moon
How the teatro lights were vivid’
I know I won’t forget them soon
As night pushed on, the crickets sang
Under the great cabana
The dancing began
We sipped our drinks
And the live band played
While on the porch, by a lizard,
The hammock swayed.
